Family owned and operated Famous Supply guides its company with the Famous Forty Fundamentals - 40 ways to bring out the best in oneself and in others. On a yearly basis, Famous seeks out trends in leadership to keep its senior leadership and mid-level managers up-to-date and employees on the receiving end of cutting-edge leadership philosophies. In partnership with Ohio State University Extension Programs, LGC has created and delivered a multi-layered program, designed to meet the unique needs of senior leadership and new managers/leaders. Using the DiSC Workplace Assessment as a foundation, the mini-cohort examined the impact of different behavioral styles on workplace relationships, management of crisis simulations, providing feedback to others, etc. Over 120 participants have attended the cohort and are currently using the DiSC profile as grounds for improving communications, employee retention, and productivity.
Project: Leadership Institute (2019) Parkersburg, WV | Program Development & Delivery | Leadership Skills
In partnership with West Virginia University and Camden Clark Hospital, LGS is part of a team of trainers delivering DDI content and creating new content around three levels of leadership: self, team, and organization. This 18-month program covers topics such as "Innovation", "Goal Setting", "Business Ethics" and "Influencing Others". Over 120 top leaders will complete this institute in December, 2020; because of the significant immediate impact at the hospital, a second institute is already in development.
Bellisio Foods decided to seek outside support of its goal to create an "emotionally intelligent" workplace. In partnership with Ohio State University Extension Programs, LGC created and delivered workshops to over 100 employees and senior management, using a basic behavioral profile model. With this model as the foundation, the workshop provided employees the opportunity for self-reflection based on their behavioral style, and small group work with mixed styles to better understand others' perspectives. Bellisio reported a high satisfaction rate among workshop attendees.

Alcon is keenly aware of the benefits gained from on-the-job learning and soft skill development for its' employees and leveraged this knowledge with the implementation of Leadership Cohorts for a small pilot group of nine employees.
Through a partnership with DByers & Assoiates, LGS created a monthly curriculum to foster the growth of leadership skills using a variety of tools including: * Action Learning * DiSC Team Dimensions/ 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team * Individual projects (as assigned by Alcon) * SCARF Neuroleadership Model by David Rock
All of the participants and originators of the concept highly recommended the continuation of this project into 2020.
Project: Mentor Program
Hong Kong | Program Creation & Development | Leadership Skills Building AustCham's Young Executive team recognized a need for a way to help new arrivals from Australia and elsewhere acclimate to business life in Hong Kong. Start a program that would match senior level executives from a wide range of industries with junior level executives.
Design mentor program that matches senior level executives with junior level executives as well as non-profit administrators. Provide monthly professional development networking meetings. Continued participant support by program manager MB Hanna.
Three years of programming with other 100 participants. Almost 80% of mentors return each year to participate. Proteges have returned as mentors.
Project: NGO Volunteer Management
Hong Kong | Program Creation & Development | Leadership Skills Building AWA has worked for over 35 years with local school to provide fun English-language practise. Volunteers from AWA manage the process of delivering the program. The key in managing this project is to build and grow relationships with local secondary school via AWA's English Conversation Program.
Managing 50 volunteers to 12 schools over the course of the school year to deliver programming in mock interviews, reading and conversation programs.

Look Left determined the best introduction process that could be easily modified to meet the needs of participants. While working for the Central/SouthEast Ohio Adult Basic Education Resource Center, Mary Barbara's role focused on assessing professional development needs and delivering impactful workshops, seminars, webinars and on-the-job learnings to groups locally, state-wide and nation-wide.

United States | Program Facilitation | Building Numeracy Skills World Education supports older youth and adult learners by strengthening the educators, organizations, and systems that serve them. Mary Barbara provided a positive online experience for participants, connecting personally with each participant to encourage course completion and ensure an improved sense of number literacy.
